Feeding Schedule

Kitties will be fed first thing every morning, and again in the evening. If your cat(s) requires more feeding times, please note this on your reservation form under “Feeding Routine”, and let me know verbally, as well, during drop off.

Pet owners agree to bring their cat’s food and be sure to provide more than enough to last their entire stay.

Fresh filtered water is provided at all times.

Occasional healthy, high quality treats may be provided during playtime at no extra charge. Let me know if your cat should not have any treats.

There is a small refrigerator/freezer to keep foods fresh, as well as, any medications that need refrigeration.

Vaccination Requirements

Cats need to have had an FVRCP vaccination within the last three years (or vet release from it).  This vaccination helps protect against the following:

Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis (FVR)

An upper respiratory infection in cats, also known as feline influenza, and caused by the feline herpes virus 1 (FHV-1)

Feline Calicivirus (FCV)

Another common viral cause of respiratory infection in cats.

Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV)

More commonly known as feline distemper, and caused by the feline parvovirus.

We need a copy of your cat’s latest vaccination record for our files.

Please bring a copy when you check in or email it to denise@gardencitycats.com

*You are responsible for making sure your kitty’s vaccination record was received if emailed.

PLEASE NOTE

If you have an elderly cat, we do not require updated vaccinations. We just need to see vet records showing your cat was vaccinated through ten to twelve years of age, and he/she must appear healthy, with no signs of upper respiratory illness.

MEdication

There is a $10 fee per dose for any medication not mixed in with food. This includes pills, gels, or liquid meds.

No extra charge for medication mixed in with food.

Medication will be provided by the pet owner in the original container, labeled with veterinary information and directions.

*If your kitty is on life sustaining medication, and is known to get upset or aggressive during administration or in unfamiliar settings, please board him/her at your vet clinic. It is far safer to be in the care of your vet if a dose cannot be missed!
